LJ Slovin is the author of Fierce, fabulous, and fluid: How trans high school students work at gender nonconformity (NYU Press, 2024). They are an assistant professor in the School of Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria and a fellow at the Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies at the University of Toronto. Together with Dr. Sam Stiegler (University of Melbourne), their second book, Embracing queer and trans frameworks in qualitative educational research: Showing our work, is forthcoming with Routledge Press this summer (2025).
